if you feel your machine is getting slow, then reinstall.. why do you need something that complex?? There are tons of system diagnostic software out there, just search on google or download.com..

see, right there you said my response to your comment....a quick workaround is the key words there. the rest of your post was just blah,blah,blah
why on earth would anyone thats not some uber supergeek choose a method that could take hours to fix vs a 5 minute ghost image or 20 min. reinstall. especially when it could be a problem that will rarely happen again, i get new problems with different installs all the time and rarely the same one twice. my life isnt the computer so i dont need to know why and how to every tiny thing.
