Windows NT 4.0 Help Plz

I have windows NT 4.0, and I lost my password for the automatic log on screen. And my school files are in their, how can I by pass this without the use of disk. Please explain step by step as much as possible im new to computers. Thanks so much.

Are you able to log in at all?

If you're just looking for your personal files, they'll be in this directory.

Open up Windows Explorer and navigate here. C:\winnt\profiles\*yourloginhere*\personal

In that foldter you'll see all of the folders you've created in your environment. You'll see your desktop, your favorites. Monkey around in there to find your files.

Does anyone else, with admin rights, have access to the computer? This user should be able to change the password for your account.
