Hi Guys

I know sound fixes are sooo anoying to fix but im really asking for your help.

When I tryed to play a movie the other day, I found out that I couldnt play it. I had no working sound.

So I tryed a reinstal of the drivers, half way though it windows said that it wasnt a trusted name and I said that I would continu anyway. When I restarted the computer there still was no sound. Im not even getting a little sound icon on in my task bar.

I think windows either screwed up the instalation or isnt letting the driver run when it boots.

Can some one give me some ideas or help me with this. :(

Thanks, Noga

P.S. (specs in sig lanlover9100) onboard sound

Okay right click on My Computer>properties>Hardware>Device Manager. Any device that has a yellow ! or ? there is a problem with that driver.

Click on the device and go to the driver tab. See if you can update the driver. If not uninstall it. Reboot and then re-install the drivers again.

Hopefully this will help.

goto start-->run-->sysdm.cpl-->hardware-->driver signing and set it to "ignore" , i assume the sound is onboard. maybe its not enabled in the bios? check it out , if it is enabled in the bios then i suggest youll uninstall the sound driver then install the chipset driver and the sound driver after it , also are you 100% sure you used the right sound driver? what motherboard do you have?

ok

nothing bad under device manager

EricB, pc info softwares like everest cant possibly determine that info if the driver is not installed

in everest get into motherboard-->motherboard
look in "motherboard name" and report back or take a screenshot and ill get you a link to the audio driver , theres a chance you downloaded the wrong one

no theres not i got it right from dfi i know alot about computy btw :p
