I just installed Ubuntu and now my Windows won't boot. Ubuntu boots but Windows isn't booting. There are three partitions: NTFS, ext3, and swap. Could it be the MBR or the GRUB loader?
Sound like you corrupted your MBR. Insert the XP disc and go into the recovery console. Do a fixboot and fixmbr. After that i will show you how to get Ubuntu back.
I'm thinking that unbuntu hijack the 7.8 mb part. if that the case delete it. if you still have that 7.8 part let me know. I'll give you restore mbr.exe
Well a fixboot adn fixmbr didnt help. He PM'd me about this. I recommended to restore GRUB with SuperGRUB as a temp measure till we can figure out why it gives a disc read error after usign those commands.
