Windows Media Player Problem

You could have the file extensions associated to these music files "defaulted" with every "music playing software" on your machine... it might not like that...
Check the preferences on wmp and uncheck the file associations.

just a thought... my 2 cents
 
Hmmm yeah that's a possibilty... Would defaults in Winamp and Windows Media conflict with eachother?

Oh i looked in the Device manager but i don't know where/what to look for lol, i found the CD and DVD drives and checked properties but i donno...

Edit - Ok, I'm stupid lol. They both had CD Audio as Defaults, so i unchecked both of them and now WMP works like it used to. *sigh*

reformat. you somehow lost a file that was critcal to making the cd work or your drive is bad
