windows media player pissing me off

I am using windows media player 8. I was attempting to press "ALT+enter" to enter full screen mode when my finger slipped and I hit another nearby button instead. Now there is this dreaded black blank bar on the bottom I can't get rid of. I've tried retracing my steps and pressing random shortcuts but can't get it away.

Anyone know the shortcut or how to get rid of this damn black bar???

I think its the statistics bar. Check the "view" menu.

I went to view-->statistics

I get a "statistics" window with two tabs: "basic" and "advanced"

Both of them say "Statistics are not availible"

Then it should be some other item in the view menu.

tried everything, I was able to get rid of it in "full mode" but full mode is gay. once I switch back to skin mode that stupid bar comes back
