if you can find a download for it... I was looking earlier and couldn't find anything

why do you want media player 8 anyway?

it is not a memory hog, and its easy to use

they have it at school in the computer lab, and it works great

p.s. i rolled back to 9 series.

get a K-lite codec pack and install wmp classic (6.4)

i have the windows xp pro service pack 1 disc...

is there NO way of getting windows media player 8??

I can't think of any way you could get it, unless you found an old site with the download or something...

I used to have it. I downloaded it with some program but I cant remember which program it was

its not a program, its a part of windows that lets you adjust the memory used by windows (i think)
