Windows Media Player

Hi Everyone,its my first time here so be nice

I've just done a clean install and everything was working fine.Now all of a sudden wmp wont show up.It shows up in the task bar but when i click to open it or right click and maximize/restore it shoots across to the right side of the screen,but nothing is there.

It worked an hour ago,i've not changed anything.

Any ideas?

Wierd..... I've never heard of a problem like that, but you should be able to do a system restore back to the first boot up on XP. That should fix it.

1. Upgrade. Go to the windows update site and let it pick through and update. It should find your WMP out of date and update it (if that's the problem).

2. If you are getting a little square window box when the WMP fires up, then this is actually a player skinning issue and the cause of a bad installation or some other corruption. You should be able to right-click on the box and get some kind of menu. You should then be able to see an option for switching the player back the default skin.

3. Reinstall Windows (do a reinstall-repair) and that should sort out the problem.

since you have XP i would just get the new verison oh Wmp....from microsoft its ver 10 now...its awesome!
