Windows Media Centre and MKV, OGG and OGM files

How do I got about getting MS Media Centre to recognise MKV and OGG and OGM files.

I have not had any problems (yet) with playing AVI and various DivX files.

Like I have the codec, and they work under the MS XP Pro componant when using programs like Media Centre Classic and Storm Codec.
However when I am trying to play them under the MS Media Centre Componant, the movie files (MKV and OGG) are not getting detected.

Having to convert over to another format sort of defeat the purpose of having to set up the media centre in the first place.

maybe try copying the plugins folder from WMP in your regular XP Pro to WMP in media Centre

download matroska pack. then make sure WMP recognize the files, then use MCE to play the file. I use this method to play mkv files

Never install media player classic with codec packs. this will enable the regular windows media player to play those files

I just install the new k-lite codec pack. now mce won't recognized the mkv files. Oh well i will uninstall it
