Angry Windows Logon Annoyance

Whenever I turn on the pc, and the crappy windows xp home loads, a message pops up asking me to log in. I usually just press enter and "login" but this has become a large annoyance. Anyone know how to get rid of this? Btw, there's an option tab, but when I click on it nothing happens. Thanks in advance guys.

Are you the only one using the computer? If so, go to control panel> user accounts> change the way users log on and off>and then chose the way you want it to work.

I have it set to go to a password logon and not the welcome screen. Liz
