Default Windows Live Messenger wont work! 8100030d

So for no reason really I just got this error message while trying to sign in and the code is 8100030d. Looked online, lots of people complaining about it and lots of "solutions" which I've tried but none really worked. Anyone have this problem in the past?

Thanks,
Sydz

*update*

not sure why, but it was AVG that was screwing me. it just wouldnt let me connect, even when i disabled the firewall it would work. tried to uninstall it, WOULDN'T UNINSTALL! That thing is like a virus ironically. anyway, so i just deleted its files while it was running and it eventually crashed allowing me to delete the rest of them and use MSN.

long story short, i now have no antivirus / firewall.
computer is MUCH faster now, surprisingly faster even. haha, i'll figure out how to fix it some other time =P

why would you not just try another messenger client instead of leaving your PC vulnerable?

give aMSN or Pidgin a try.

I used to get the same error message with ZoneAlarm even when I had msn under the permission. I only use AVG anti virus now and don't have a firewall.
