A new beta program appeared at Microsoft Connect today, this one being a new version of the popular Windows Live Messenger instant messaging application. Dubbed as version 8.1, the version will most likely be a bug fixes version, though nothing is officially known about it yet.
Applications for the beta test are open to everybody with a Windows Live ID account, though everyone who applies is set in a Pending state, which means the testers will most likely be selected among that list. Applications are open until august 29, so the beta test should begin very soon.
