well house this time you beat me. I was about to suggest quick launch. I guess were even ;-)

so it's randomly working again now... :/

IMO it is the keyboard or usb port is a bit finicky... try using it on another port, or use a different keyboard for awhile... Just to determine if it is that keyboard or not...

so the problem came back, and i ran sfc scannow and it fixed the problem... for now at least

just thought i'd update in case others come across the problem
