Windows Install Problem!

Hey guys.. ok i tried re-installing windows XP pro on my friends computer, after deleting the partitions it had a memory dump, so i restarted and now when the 'booting from CD' message comes up, it says 'No Emulation', then proceeds to a black screen where it says "Set up is examining your computer to see if its good enough" (not exact message, but one similiar to that). Then it proceeds to a black screen and thats all that happens... Anyone know what may be causing this? thanks! Btw, the CD works good on my computer, so im not sure if it is the CD.

Comp Specs:
AMD 1600+
512MB DDR RAM
GeForce 4200 128mb
Asus a7v333 MB

I had same exact problem, my RAM was incompatible with my Mobo!

Ok.. but it worked before and now it doesnt... but i will try the ram thing tomorrow, if anyone else has any opinions let me know, thanks!
