i wanted to know if i were to delite the windows folder in my harddrive manualy would that work to let me instal windows?

No. I mean technically yes if you boot into the command line interface, but that is not how you need to install windows.

Get a bootable CD w/ windows on it, then change your boot priority in your BIOS to CD first, then hard drive second. Put the CD in and allow it to boot, you should get a message that says press any key to boot from CD, press a button. Follow the instructions given, format the old hard drive that had the old windows and reinstall your new windows.

Depends on the BIOS manufacturer, could be delete, F10, etc.

allows you to enterthe BIOS so you can opt to boot from the CD

^sometimes you don't even have to do that, it will just try to boot from the disc. Does that with parents pc. Anyways, i would format, then do that. As it takes a while. So start a full format, go do something for 45 mins, then come back and install windows.
