Home Server RC1 was today officially released to Microsoft Connect users, with over 100,000 reported to already be using the new operating system.
The full code of RC1 has been made available to any existing or future beta candidates, allowing system builders to produce customized Home
Release Candidate 1 is reported to have fixes for a whole range of bugs, along with improved hardware support and remote access capabilites.
Server is aimed at being the central hub for storing of music, photos, and other files in either a business or home environment, with scheduled backups also available.
