Windows Explorer Slow to start large .exe files

The issue is 2 fold. First is the fact that the machine has 2GB of RAM. It also has to do with the fact your running Vista. As great as i think that OS is, that is one of its major flaws. It always has had issues when it comes to large files. There is no way to explain it. It is just a glitch in the coding of the OS. Sometimes it likes them, sometimes it doesnt. Just like trying to move a bunch o files over a GB in size. Sometimes it will fly, other times it will not.

Vista was a great stepping stone to get away from XP, but Win7 is by far better in every way, shape and form. Vista is your downfall here.

Yeah. Vista does suck, I've also heard Windows 7 isn't such as a ram hog as vista. I guess I might buy Windows 7 home premium soon. But I also might not because I only open large files very rarely.

Thanks a lot for the info guys.
