windows explorer keeps closing???

Hi all,

Everytime i open my download folder i get an error msg telling me that windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close!
I,ve ran av and spyware software without success. Any thoughts on this?

something simmilar happened to me too. Try reinstalling windows explorer, it will install any files you are missing, which is what could cause the problem

What download folder? you mean only when you open this particular folder, you are getting an error message?

yeah it only happens when i try to open one particular folder.my downloads folder

OKay, login to safe mode. Goto folder options and enable "show hidden and system files" . Now move to that folder and try to delete any 'folder.htt' or 'desktop.ini' files .

BTW, why dont you just delete that folder , if its causing you so much trouble?

The problem maybe cause by your download tools!

you can reinstall your download tool and move your download folder to other folders or other partition
