Default windows explorer crashes?

ok.. i have a lot of stuff in a folder (movies, music, etc) about 47 gigs of it.. i was in the middle or organizing everything when i got the "not responding" message about windows explorer.. not everytime i go 2 move a file from 1 folder 2 another it crashes... and now its only in that folder.. i've moved them a couple times from hd to hd even 2 my documents and still it crashes... i've also used other programs that work like window explorers and they crash 2... any1 have any idea?...
