windows error 008?

a friend of mine who lives cross country told me today that he keeps getting a windows error. a little box pops up every so often and says, error 008

then you have to close it out.

has anyone heard of this before i tried to do some searching on it and found nothing.

he doesn't really know how to run spyware and such, that's what i thought it might be.

he's got xp sp2 and the dreaded aol 9.0

security edition.....lol

any ideas would be great.

Error 008 - AOL servers may be unavailable fixed.

Uninstall AOL and reinstall...if that dont work, try using a different dialup modem if you are using one, or use another service or reformat, one of those have got to work
