Default Windows Deletes All Fonts on Startup

I'm trying to fix a PC that when windows xp starts deletes all fonts. The os is updated as much as possible, and I have replaced the fonts only to have the Fonts folder emtied again on restart.

I don't see a need for hardware specs, the computer is far more than necessary needed to run xp and the hardware is not defective.

It seems to be a software problem in windows, but I just can't seem to find it.

Um...if it deleted the fonts files, you wouldn't be able to see any text throughout the system...

Are these custom fonts you're installing? Is this the English language pack, or are you installing for a different language? Which font folder are you looking in? Can you open Word-Pad and see a list of fonts in the font selector?

I've never heard of XP deleting its fonts before, so there's something fishy going on.

I'm not stupid Shoobie.

There are no fonts on anything when windows starts. I am doing everything by memory. It does have garbled fonts and in some spots the system font. Which I believe is not in the Fonts folder for such a reason as this. I know for a fact that the Fonts are gone. The Fonts folder is totally empty. And when I reinstall I am reinstalling the base fonts for windows. I am not installing any font packs or adding weird fonts and there is no spyware or viruses on the system.

Never said you were.

Run your AV's and see what happens. If they don't find anything, time to do a reinstall. Something's messed up royal.
