Exactly my point.....from the floppy, instead of typing "format c:"
Next time type "format c: /s"
It doesn't hurt and can make the world when formatting older computers.
It was just an addition to your advise.

thanks for the replys, i'll post back later tonght, when i try it. I found an old windows 98 book and it says to do a couple of things that i'm gonna try, but i'm gonna try that sys c: first.
