windows 98 driver help!!

I am trying to install my labtec webcam on my computer using 98. there are 5 drivers that I am missing and the camera acts like its not hooked into the USB. Well I found the drivers on a website and downloaded them on my computer but now when I try to load the cam it acts like it cant find them.. I have them on my desktop and on a 3 1/2 inch flopy. and when I open the floppy or anywhere else I have tried putting them it does not show them it acts like there is nothing there. why is this, do I need to open them using a certan program to get my computer to recognize them as drivers?? this is really getting old.. thanks guys
