Windows 8 - Help

I barley use my computer. Only for school and stuff. I will boot into Safemode and run virus scans and run MBAM.

You should still have it updated. The updates that are pushed out are for bug fixes as well as security fixes for flaws found within Winodws, IE and other products. So it is quite easily that since you are not up to date with the patches, you got an infection.

MichealH,

This sounds like it could be one of a couple things, one, your have lost all the apps on your start screen, which could be a small-moderate problem, or two, your computer's internal components need to be dispelled. You can view the instructions on completing a dispel below.

How to preform a dispel to a laptop computer:

Step One: Turn off your computer.

Step Two: Unplug Your Computer.

Step Three: Close the lid, flip the computer over, and remove your battery.

Step Four: Without plugging your computer in or reinserting the battery, open the lid on your computer and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release.

Step Five: Reinsert your battery, plug in your computer, and turn on.
