Ok I'm done playing hopscotch to find an answer, Carnagex a friend of mine referred me here, So I'm hopeful to find some help.

Ok so heres the deal, I set Windows Fax and Scan up and I love it, well here's the problem. Is there a why to keep WFS running and still allow my landline message machine to work?

I'd really like to know, because I'm getting frustrated missing calls when I'm gone but also sick of wasting paper and toner film for my fax machine.

So my question to you guys here at TF, is there a why to allow the fax program to work but allow my landline to work too?

No. You would need a dedicated phone line just for your fax machine. The PC does not distinguish the call from being a person or a fax until after it is picked up. At that point it is already too late.

The person would end up getting the horrid fax tone and hang up. The only solution would be to get advance notice of when you were getting a fax to turn on your Fax Service.
