Windows 7 Internet Explorer Won't Open!

Its letting you know that the shortcut on your desktop is no longer there because you removed IE8, when you add it back you wont get that message.

Did you uninstall Norton yet?

Sorry that it took me a long time to reply. Yes i have uninstalled norton 360

Now go to services.msc and make sure all Norton services are disabled and then reboot.

Go to start, run, type services.msc and press enter. Should be in alphbetical order.

Can you access the net now?

For some reason windows 7 wont allow you to uninstall it but you can disable it.

I would download IE7 and run it on top of the current install, and that may rebuild the install. I have done that several times and work to fix issues like this.

Go thru the process again of removing IE8, reboot and then install it again, reboot and then try again.

You cant install IE7 on Windows 7
