ok my brother recently built a gaming rig, the only problem is that airo dose not work at all. so the task bar is the horrible gray color. all the graphics drivers are installed and the card (cant recall what it is but will ask him if needed) is windows 7 compatible.

additional info:
intel i5 750 quad core
asuse mobo
8gb ddr3 ram at 1600MHz
1 tb ssd
coolermaster elite 330 case
850w psu
runs all games on highest settings

please help as it looks ugly.

What version of Windows 7 is it? Starter and Home Basic don't have Aero, though I doubt that he has either version.

What happens when you try to enable Aero?

It is Aero, not Airo. Did you try all 3 links? If so then there are bad drivers or conflicting drivers installed. Get Driver Sweeper to remove all video drivers and download the latest ones from the manufacturer's website.

Then try a set of older drivers. You still never said a word if you removed all the old drivers first before installing the new set. They can conflict with each other if you dont remove them. Not just uninstall them. There is a difference.

Google, their webiste, MajorGeeks, Guru3D? A search engine can be of more help than anything.
