Anyone know when its due for release? I am downloading the trial now.

I think the next version of Windows is due to be released in the last quater of this year. That will be 64-bit.

this probably doesnt relate to 64-bit. but i think the 32 bit xp os will be around for a long time.

Its coming out really soon.
I heard that Microsoft will give you the 64 bit version free if you have a 64 bit processor and an older version of Windows XP.

32-bit OS's will be around for a few years yet. The next version of Windows will be released in 32 and 64-bit versions.
