Default window 64 bit version?

windows is allowing people to download xp professional 64 edition. is this the same thing as the long awaited longhorn?

No, its a version of xp for use with 64 bit processors.

of course another beta..if your cpu donen't support 64 bit processor..its useless for you..

My CPU supports only one processor...itself.

Jerigorn, Windows has a 64bit beta release available, but it's pretty buggy and has a lot of driver issues. I wouldn't really recommend it if this is for your primary PC. Your choice though.

If you have a 64bit setup, you can give it a try. Some have had success with it, but many fight with it for days before they can use it.

i have a 64bit processor. Where can i dowload it and is it free?
