window 10 64bit Audio issue

ok- then I am not going crazy. I have tried downloading Reatek drivers, Nvidia divers, etc. but if I take out or Update the windows HD driver and switch it to either the Nvidia or the Reatek- then the Sony doesn't even show up and if I trouble shoot it is says - nothing is plugged into the HDMI slot. I hate win10!! I did finally getting it sound pretty good - by setting the Sony to "music mode" instead of AUTO ADF or multi stereo = all five speakers show up on the front of the Sony with a Dolby icon- but the surround aspect is poor when testing on the internet on a 5.1 "test" which sends noise to each speaker - the surround signal/noise comes out the front speakers as much as the surround speaker. That could be just poor decoding on the art of the Sony AVR or as I expect- the PC is not really sending anything but 2 channel audio over the HDMI and the Sony is doing the best it can with the signal its being send.
