win7 retail cd key

i got a genuine copy of windows 7 retail version (with cd key) and im going to build a new pc plus im going to give this pc im using now to my sis thats running windows 7 my query is can i install another copy of windows 7 on my new build or do i need to delete the copy on my old build to install on my new build

IIRC, with retail, you can put on any system, but only one at a time. You cannot have 2 separate computers run at the same time with the same serial.

This is exactly correct. As i have said several hundred times before and even have it in the OEM vs Retail thread.

1 Serial = 1 PC

You can only have 1 copy of any serial active on any machine at any time. OEM you can only have that 1 machine period.
