I have a few programs which load with my windows 2000, and they really do not need to be loaded with every boot. I've checked all throughout the programs themselves but cannot find anything which will make the program not load with windows. I know in windows 98 you could take off startup programs within "system information", is there anything similar to this in windows 2000?

Open Regedit

HK_Current_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

This will show everything that is running from your user account. Also check
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

They have this in there so that Antivirus Programs and such can be safeguarded against user sabotage :D.
