I'm trying to install win2k and Im trying to boot up from my 4 bootdisks
and on the first disk i get a "disk I/O error" my windows 98 bootdisk works however

If you know your floppy drive is in good shape, then I would get
freshly formated floppies and make a good set of install disks.

Reformat the floppies to remove everything on them and then run
the install program to create your 4-disk W2K install set.

What is the I/O error message?

I/O Errors are generated when there is a problem Inputting (reading) or Outputting (writing) data:

I/O Error 30
Usually happens when trying to install the programs from a diskette.
It means either the disk or the drive is not working correctly.

I/O Error 100 - Disk Read Error
Usually means your data files have been damaged.

I/O Error 101 - Disk Write Error
"Writing" is when the computer saves information onto the disk.

I/O Error 150 - Disk is Write Protected
Since entries have to be saved, using a write-protected disk
will cause an error.

I/O Error 152 - Drive Not Ready

I/O Error 154 - CRC Error in Data

I/O Error 156 - Disk Seek Error
This error means there is a problem with the drive.

I/O Error 158 - Sector Not Found

I/O Error 160 - Device Write Fault

I/O Error 161 - Device Read Fault

I/O Error 162 - Hardware Failure

Very funny warez.

I bought 4 new disks for bootdisks and it only says "Disk I/O Error" at startup...no number
