Win XP service pack 1

Hey,

Myself and my friend purchased(single sofware sharing the cost 50:50) Win XP professional and my friend first installed in his pc....later I also installed in my pc.That time it was OK.

Now, service pack 1 not installing in my system(it is ok in my friend's pc) as it thinks mine is piracy.....Is there anyway i can install this new SP1?

If you have registered the OS on another machine, and then you load it on another machine, you have pretty much broken the law. It does not permit you to install it on more than one computer, you will need to call M$ and get another serial.

Sounds to me like your friend got the better end of the deal
