Default Win XP Pro 32bit or 64bit?

How Can I tell which win xp i buy is fit for 32bit or 64bit?

I tried to install a XP Pro on a computer
but the computer only supports 32bit

and then it said that the XP Pro is a 64bit

XP x64 bit edition is very clearly marked as such on all the installation disks and case. Also all the screens identify it as such.

32 for older 32 bit machines
x64 for the newer AMD 64 bit machines

clearly x64 is better but not everyone can use it at the time.

AMD is not the only processor that is 64 bit. Intel has some also. They are not as good as the AMD 64 but they are 64 bit.

True but also if you check Microsoft's X64 webpage is says something about WinXP X64 is not compatible with <blank> intel processors.

Huh? Any of the 6xx Intel processors will run X64 fine.

Important: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition cannot be successfully installed on 64-bit Intel Itanium-based systems.

Itanium is an entirely separate thing Tyler. Those are $2000+ each server processors.
