Thumbs down Win XP has totally corrupted and can't format :(

Well it first started when the PC crashed, nothing worked so i just restarted it. it loaded upto to the Windows xp screen and just got stuck there, the loading bar just kept on going but nothing else happened. After about 4 tries and 2 failed "safe mode" tries i just gave up and decided to format.

Now this is the problem, this PC is custom made, but it was made by a company called carrera ssc(in the u.k). This company went into adminatrastion/bankrupt a few months ago so i can not get a recovory disk. there is the "press F10 to recover" option, which i did try but at 18% it gives me an error saying that a file could not be found, after that it goes upto 19% and just never moves, i had to restart it and now when booting i get an error "NTLDR is missing". I cannot format so now i have no working windows, is there anything i can do? would a normal windows xp disc work with an oem copy installed by this company? or do i have to buy a retail copy ?

Heres my specs if its relevent:
Amd 64 3200
Asus k8vse deluxe
1gb ram
maxtor 160gb s-ata

It sounds like the recovery partition is messed up.

Unfortunately, without the recovery cds you will
have problems even if you are able to use a
regular OEM Windows XP cd. You will need to
download any software that XP doesn't provide
for your video card, sound card, modem, etc.

XP might have software for all the hardware
components but it might not have the software.
It depends on the hardware used. You will also
lose all the additional programs provided by
the seller. For instance, a dvd burner program,
microsoft works, etc.

Hopefully, ,you have the XP product key listed
on the computer somewhere because you might
need it.

An OEM version of XP will load but it will require
a oem producty key (which your key may or may
not work). There are at least 3 different versions
related to the service packs. A new one will
have Service Pack 2, then there is one with
Service Pack 1, and the original one without
any Service Pack.

You can buy a full retail version of XP but it will
probably be pretty expensive.

Good luck.
