Question win xp?

I want windows xp, but its pretty expensive. If I got a windows xp disk from somebody who has already used it will I be able to put it on my computer or will it not work because the disk and code has already been used?

Not sure. I think it depends on the version. I have the Dutch version (XP Pro) and it works without any problems although its a copy. I heard lots of people (with English version) cannot login windows without entering a licence.
