Got an interesting situation...
Had XP PRo (borrowed version) on a PC.
Received a copy of Server 2003.
setupreg.ads was already in a separate folder with the instructions to delete setupreg.hiv, rename it and drop into I386.
Burn the new ISO and installed.
Did that.
No luck, it's still asking to register.
What's the deal with this process?
Now, my new problem is that I want to go back to my XP PRo install, did the full format to NTFS and installed XP Pro.
Now my D: drive (175GB) is unreadable (a timeout error pops up).
So just after the heart attack, I reinstalled Server 2003. I can access my D drive, and have 28 days left to register.
What do I do to just get back to my old XP world??
