Unhappy Win NT Boot Up Problem

I am running an old Compaq Armada 7400 Laptop and have found on booting up this message -
"Windows NT could not start becaues the following file is missin or corrupt: \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMHardware Profile/Last known Good Menu.

I have a Win NT CD with Service pack 6a but this doesn't run as a Boot Disk.
Can I find a fix so that I can at least boot up and save my files....

Please Help......I have my Tax Files on there and have lost my MYOB back up Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Yours extremely humbly

Look at my sig for instructions on how to do a repair install. I dont know if it will work for NT but you can try.
