Of course, we downloaded to C: on someone elses computer then extracted the files onto C and copied them all to the floppy, I dont even have a FDD on my PC, so I was a lot of help!

If you have a Win 98 CD, you should be able to install from that. If not, go into Setup & make sure it's set to boot from D drive. You can then make a 3 1/2 floppy boot disc yourself.
What did you do to prepare the comp?
Yeah we tried that as well, it wouldnt read the CD-ROM, we again got: invalid system disk. We also tried using someone elses computer to copy boot files from the CD-ROM, that didnt work either
The computer would even turn on so we used fdisk to create a primary DOS partition then formatted the hard drive (although when we did this I didnt realize he didnt have the startup (boot) disk
And another question how do you write protect a floppy disk? We havent been, do you think that may be the problem?
