win-2000 pro w no mouse, what to do?

cleaning a 2000 pro os out rebooted, and the mouse is no longer there. i cant get around the computer now
tried to go back to a last known config setting doesnt work
safe mode says it detects the mouse and keyboard

i do not know how to fix this any help would be soooo welcome

its not letting me get around with the key board either and i dont have a usb mouse

Uninstall the keyboard and mouse driver in safe mode then reboot. When Windows loads, it should find the keyboard and mouse. When it does, it will automatically reinstall the drivers.
