Will a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM read a CD-RW?

I just had a complete brain fart and for some odd reason can't remember this. I would think not, but then again technology works in mysterious ways. I need to create a bootable XP disk but only have CD-RW's available on this PC, but the PC I will be using it in is a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM Drive. Will it read it?

Yes. In general computer technology is backwards compatable. So newer technologies (IE DVD ROMS) will read CD ROMS.

Yes, it will definitely be able to read it, but if it's only a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM, it will not be able to write to it.
