Why will Microsoft Update KB929777 not install on my computer?

Hi all!

I just built a new system. I installed Windows Vista Ultimate. Now I am permitting the system to do the updates according to Windows update manager.

Each time I attempt to install Microsoft Update KB929777 my system comes up as failed. Then it gives me an error code: 8000FFFF.

Can anyone tell me why this is occurring?

When you come across issues like this it is best to use Microsoft search over Google.

Search Microsoft.com
Advanced Search

This will provide you with more answers related to Microsoft products than Google cause Microsoft doesnt like to be spidered by Google when they have Live Search. Most sites on Google are not not directly related to Microsoft Newsgroups. Knowledge Base Articles and such topics as you will find thru these 2 search features. This is what i use when people say that they cant find a answer on Google and there is usually at least 25 or more topics with answers there.
