Some schools and uni's are a part of a M$ program. They issue a bulk license for a lot of their software. You can buy it for cheap or get it for free depending on the terms the school and M$ agreed to.

One of my crew was taking an on line course and we pillaged the M$ software the course offered.
My dad DID take some kind of Java class a few years ago, maybe he got them from that???

(To Joe C) Why/how do you have a Microsoft Office '07 disk from '10?

That was when I got that disk. I upgraded to 10 shortly after that. There was some kind of free upgrade deal from M$, and I think I did that because 7 was cheaper then, or 10 wasn't out yet. My memory has failed.. My Mrs. is now running office 13 at home through her school (work at home version) but I'm with 10 for the time being

That expired a very long time ago in pc terms.
You'll need your product keys before you can use those disks, without the keys those disks are kinda useless. The product keys I got are attached to those black disk jackets, didn't see that on yours unless they're on the back side
