when i insert certain usb devices my computer shuts down

ive just noticed this happned for a week now. i didnt do anything, or supossovely.. when ever i insert something like my flash drive or digital camera my computer shuts down and restarts, but if i insert my external hard drive it doesn't. why is it doing this? i've installed my usb drivers and i had just finished formating and reinstalling my OS 2 weeks ago. wut do u think is wrong?

Right-click on My computer, click Properties.

Click on the Advanced tab, then click Startup and Recovery settings. Uncheck "automatically restart".


If that fails, then reinstall your USB drivers by running Windows Update, or try Google.
