what to press to show admin on xp login

hi guys, slight problem with a mates laptop. when ctrl+alt+del is pressed to bring up task manager i get "task manager has been disabled by your administrator." now i think ive read before somewhere that there is something you press on boot (i think its a 'f' button) that shows the administrator on the login screen.

anyone know what it is??

Now dont quote me, but I believe the only way to access the admin account on a Windows XP home version is through safe mode. Not like with XP Pro where you can get it by hitting the CTRL-ALT-DLT combo.

ok thanks, i will try hitting f8 on boot then. i will do it tomorrow as it s 1.40 in the morning on this side of the lake!
