I had issues updating my gigabyte board. I couldn't do it through windows and I didn't have the q-flash bios yet. it came with the bios upgrade and I had to upgrade my bios so that it would recognize my new processor as I went from an amd 4600 to an amd 6000
I made a floppy through xp (ms dos startup dics), not windows 98 like they said, because the update would not fit on a windows 98 disc. I see that they updated the guide now since people obviously complain to them about that. so you can add the update to a xp dos start up disc or follow their new guide instructions
