What is Hiren's BootCD 9.8 and is it safe and legal?

There are many aspects of Hirens in which many manufacturers, and other such people including IT people, regard as illegal or immoral. While i can not vouch for the redistribution aspect, i can say that it is a great tool.

There is a link on their site to buy it. I have seen it a long time ago.

All I ever see on their site is a list of the programs it includes and a bunch of ads. I have never seen a place to buy it, simply that you had to torrent it.

I do not think this conversation should be allowed and it should be known that purchasing or not this is still illegal distribution of a lot of that software that was not properly licensed. It will be fine for personal use, but if you are caught using this in business use it could have bad repercussions.

If someone can find me a legitimate buy link I'll look into it, but I've not found anything on their site nor on Google that has Hiren's CD for anything other than download.
