Default What to expect from SP2?

Since getting DSL I've finally downloaded enough Windows Updates that it's prompting me to beging installing SP2 for Windows XP. I play lots of games and use several utilities, some retail some freeware, and I'm a little worried about what I can expect from SP2. Can anyone tell me if certain programs just won't work or work properly? I know SP2 looks for certain types of coding that it won't allow to run, I just wonder if it's worth installing at all and any help is, as always, much appreciated.

It's usually worth installing it since it includes security updates and the like. Microsoft do have a program incompatability list for SP2 somewhere on their website.

Hadn't even thought of restoring I'll just do that. I'll give the MS incompatibility list a look, too if I can find it, stuff's always buried on their site. Thanks
