On the Dell website, look in Small Business. There you will find the Vostro line which has XP as an option. Plus, Vostros don't have all the "crapware" that comes on most pre-builts.

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

Vostro 200 - E2140, a gig of RAM, 160 gig HD, 19" WS monitor, XP Home.
$399, add a modem for $30.

I've found emachines to be a good quality brand that is very cheap. My advice to you is if you get an emachines computer, don't get the cheapest model, get the next one up. The cheapest model is usually not very upgradeable, while the ones that are slightly better are great to upgrade.

Heh heh... my old eMachine is still going strong. It's now my wife's/media computer.

I had bad experiences with an emachine, but this was 5-6 years ago. The psu was glitchy, so you had to hold the power button down as you plugged it into the wall or it wouldn't turn on. The CD-Drive and hard drive also went bad within 2-3 years, and the motherboard was a model that I could not find any information on.

But I hear they're better now.
